Our Girls and Our Values

My girls are so much more than just pets to me. They are cherished members of our family and live with us in our home round the clock. Because I only have four girls, I can dedicate plenty of time to each one to make sure their exercise, grooming, and individual needs are always met.

I choose not to place my dogs in guardian homes because I personally feel it isn't the best thing for their mental well being. I believe that moving a dog away from its family just to breed and then bringing them back later disrupts their sense of security, and that is something I want to avoid. Because of this I only have two or three litters available each year. If my values resonate with yours, I truly believe the wait will be worth it.

Every one of my girls undergoes full health testing once they are old enough, following all the Kennel Club requirements. This includes the essential hip and elbow scoring which is so important for the breeds that make up a Bernedoodle.

Our girls thrive in a loving home with my children, including my son who has profound autism. They are incredibly tolerant, kind, and well behaved. Whether they are enjoying off lead walks or greeting visitors, they have lovely manners and are always friendly and confident. They aren't timid or shy at all, which is something you will see for yourself if you come to meet them.

Lumi and Ada have even earned their certification as therapy dogs after passing their temperament and behaviour assessments.

My biggest hope is to pass on these wonderful traits and temperaments while breeding healthy puppies who will become much loved members of your family.

About Me!

I have been dog obsessed since I was a little girl. I used to spend my time training my dog shaped teddies and drawing my future pets while reading every single book I could find about breeds, behaviour, and training.

As I grew up that love never faded. My first job was volunteering for a dog groomer in exchange for lessons on how to groom my own family poodle. After a few years of travelling in my teens I settled down and got two Standard Poodles of my own. I did a grooming apprenticeship and qualified in 2013. I absolutely loved my ten years as a groomer and I still have a full salon set up at home for my own girls and a few friends and family. Over the years I have also spent time showing and doing agility. While I was working as a groomer I made sure to get extra qualifications in dog behaviour, psychology, anatomy, and canine first aid.

Working in a salon meant I met hundreds of dogs and their owners. I will admit I started out as a total poodle person but the more doodles I met the more I fell in love with them. I had a regular Bernese Mountain Dog customer who was a total love bug but the amount of hair he shed was incredible! I spent a lot of time researching the breed and the health problems they can face and that is when I stumbled across Bernedoodles.

I know people can be very for or against doodles and I agree that some mixes do not always make sense but the Bernedoodle is different. Poodles are brilliant, athletic, and highly trainable, healthy with longevity but they can be quite serious and some of my poodles will avoid even puddles,  I love them and will always have them but I truly believe poodles benefit the Bernese in this mix rather than the other way around.

Bernese are just pure fun. They are protective and love children but they are also clumsy like a bull in a china shop and very stubborn! They leave a trail of hair wherever they go and sadly their lifespan is short and the breed is not always the healthiest. The Poodle balances out everything in the Bernese especially health and trainability to create what I believe is the most sensible doodle of them all.

I am still just as dog mad as I was as a child. I am so proud of my girls and my puppies and I give my everything to raise happy, healthy dogs that will make their families smile for years to come. This is my passion with a purpose and I feel so blessed to do what I love.
